Olson An Unlikely Challenger Of Prop 8

On Monday, March 22nd 2010, former United States solicitor general Ted Olson was interviewed on NPR's Talk of The Nation show.

It was an excellent interview and it gave a lot of insight into how a politically conservative person like Ted Olson is fighting for our right to marry!

I encourage everyone to listen to it.

Act Now to Stop Adoption Discrimination in Arizona!

HB 2148 This bill limits the ability for single people to adopt children from foster care because it mandates that the AZ Dept of Economic Security (DES) and adoption agencies give primary consideration to placement of a child with a married couple. Single people would only be eligible to adopt if a qualified married couple is not available, with certain exceptions.

We need to stand together to oppose this bill. This bill must be stopped dead in its tracks because there are many non-married people who make excellent adoptive parents. The best interests of each child should be the deciding factor in adoptions, without blanket rules that limit their chance for a forever home.

We need to send a strong message now to defeat HB 2148. Let your elected official know that you oppose HB 2148.
